Types of Male Breast Cancer
- Inflitrating Ductal Carcinoma
- Ductal Carcinoma in Situ
- Inflammatory Breast Cancer
- Paget Disease of the Nipple
- Lobal Carcinoma (Has not been seen in men)
Treatment Options
- Modified Radical Mastectomy- the removal of the entire nipple and breast tissue
- Lumpectomies- the removal of only the lump
- Radiation- uses very high energy rays to obliterate the cancer cells
- Chemotherapy- using anti-cancer cells (cytotoxic) drugs to destroy cancer cells
- Hormone Therapy (Tamoxifen and Aromatase Inhibitors)- used in order to reduce the amount of oestrogen, the hormone used to allow breast cancer to grow and spread
